For 16 years, the New York State Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET) has consistently supported SUNY Oswego’s Presidential Scholars Program. Bill Shannon, business manager for the Upstate New York Laborers’ District and LECET representative, presented a check for $25,000 to President Deborah F. Stanley in the autumn. The funds help Oswego attract the nation’s best and brightest students who are in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class, have SAT scores higher than 1,200 and GPAs higher than 90.
