SUNY Oswego will offer a new bachelor’s degree program in electrical and computer engineering starting next fall, coinciding with the opening of the Richard S. Shineman Center for Science, Engineering and Innovation. The new program is expected to help meet demand regionally and nationally for engineers in such cutting-edge fields as bioinstrumentation, robotics and power systems and in embedded systems such as microprocessors, which are omnipresent in machines and products from autos to refrigerators.
